South Korea surprises every visitor: a country where Confucian palaces stand next to neon-lit shopping districts, where centuries-old tea ceremonies share the spotlight with the global phenomenon of K-Pop, and where the mountains are dotted with Buddhist temples. On this Muslim Friendly group trip you discover Seoul's royal palaces, the ceramic heritage of the south, and the ancient capital Gyeongju. Halal restaurants and prayer facilities are arranged for every stop along the route.

The itinerary

Today the group departs from Amsterdam for South Korea.
After arrival at the airport you are met by your driver. Transfer to the hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest.
After breakfast we visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, the grand royal palace of the Joseon dynasty, including a hanbok experience. We then head to Insadong, a traditional cultural district full of crafts, tea houses and Korean atmosphere. After lunch we visit Namsangol Hanok Village. In the evening we soak up the atmosphere in Myeongdong.
We visit the National Museum of Korea. After lunch we head to the Seoul Central Mosque, an important religious and cultural landmark for Muslim visitors in Korea. We then explore Hongdae, a lively district full of trendy shops. In the evening we enjoy a Han River cruise from Yeouido Hangang Park.
After breakfast, check-out and flight to Jeju. On arrival we visit Hallim Park, a large botanical park. We then explore Dongmun Market, one of Jeju's most popular traditional markets.
We start at Eco Land, a woodland theme park. Then on to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, a UNESCO-protected volcanic cone. We also visit Seopjikoji, a scenic coastal area, and Seongeup Folk Village for a glimpse of traditional life on Jeju.
Today we visit Jusangjeolli Cliff and Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. After lunch we discover the Osulloc Tea Museum, followed by the Arte Museum Jeju, an immersive digital art experience.
After breakfast, flight to Busan. On arrival we visit Gamcheon Culture Village, a colourful hillside neighbourhood full of murals. Then on to BIFF Square & Gukje Market.
We start in Ahopsan Forest with its bamboo grove. We then visit the Busan Mosque. Next is Cheongsapo Skywalk, followed by a ride on the Haeundae Blueline Park capsule train along the coast. We finish at Haeundae Beach & Dongbaekseom Island.
A day trip to Gyeongju, the historic capital of the Silla kingdom. We visit Bulguksa Temple & Seokguram Grotto (UNESCO World Heritage). After lunch we stroll along Hwangridan-gil, then visit Cheomseongdae and Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond.
After breakfast we take the KTX high-speed train to Seoul. We visit the Starfield Library at COEX and the Lotte World Tower, including entrance to the Seoul Sky Observatory.
A relaxed day outside the city. We visit Alpaca World and the fairytale-like Nami Island, famous for its tree-lined lanes and peaceful riverbanks.
After breakfast, a free day to spend as you wish. Ideal for shopping, relaxing or revisiting your favourite spots.
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to Incheon International Airport for the flight home.
