Jordan is a land of extraordinary depth — where Nabataean rock cities, Roman ruins, crusader castles, and sites sacred to all three Abrahamic faiths exist side by side. On this Muslim Friendly group trip you visit the rose-red city of Petra, spend a night under the stars in the lunar landscape of Wadi Rum, float effortlessly in the Dead Sea, and explore the ancient city of Jerash. Our guide is fluent in Dutch and deeply knowledgeable about the Islamic and prophetic significance of the sites we visit. All meals are halal and prayer times are embedded in every day's planning.
The itinerary
After arrival in Amman the evening is free to settle in and get a first impression of Jordan.
We take a day trip to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world, with impressive temples and colonnades from Roman and Greek antiquity.
We visit Mount Nebo, where according to tradition the prophet Musa is buried. We also visit the cave of Surah Al-Kahf. After a city tour of Amman we travel on to Petra.
Today is all about Petra. We explore the rose-red city and visit the Treasury, the Roman theatre, the Royal Tombs and the Al Deir monastery. Afterwards we travel on to Wadi Rum.
We take a jeep safari through the impressive desert landscape of Wadi Rum. In the evening we enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner and admire the starry sky. Optional activities include camel riding and quad biking (at your own expense).
Today there is time to relax at the Dead Sea. Our five-star hotel has a private beach where you can enjoy rest and wellness.
Another day to relax, swim and enjoy the unique setting on the Dead Sea.
After a final morning in Jordan we fly back to Amsterdam.
